As announced, Virgil (Bud) Thompson is stepping down from the essential job of being LQ\u2019s Managing Editor after doing it, quietly and splendidly, from the beginning and for thirty-seven years.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LQ Board of Directors, Editorial Staff, Council of Editorial Advisors, and all authors and readers owe him even more than they know, from proof-reading to the daily business and very existence of this journal.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of Bud\u2019s final tasks is to complete the transition to his successor Nick Hopman, who has been his Associate Managing Editor for two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors to our website are invited to express their appreciation here, for presentation to Thompson at the April 2024 meeting of LQ Inc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
