After serving as a parish pastor for seven years in Minnesota and Wisconsin, he taught on Philadelphia&#8217;s faculty from 1989-2013. He has written, co-edited, and translated many books on Philip Melanchthon and Martin Luther.<\/p><p><em><strong>Volker Leppin<\/strong><\/em> is a German Protestant theologian and the Horace Tracy Pitkin Professor of Historical Theology at Yale Divinity School. A historian of medieval and Reformation studies, his research focuses on scholasticism and mysticism in the late Middle Ages.
