Peer reviews from specialists in Luther and Andreas Karlstadt highlighted Schimohr\u2019s close analysis of the exegetical dispute between these two reformers over the corporeal presence of Christ in the sacrament, years before Zwingli entered the fight.  Schimohr is a recent graduate of the University of T\u00fcbingen, Department of Protestant Theology, now on a two-year vicarage in preparation for ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of W\u00fcrttemberg. \n\n<br><br>\nAgain this year, all submissions received careful examination and detailed feedback, in hopes of assisting the next generation of scholars.  Thanks to the continuing partnership of the 1521 Foundation, another prize of $5,000 will be awarded in 2027 for the best essay published in LQ by a student or recent graduate.
